Monday...again!

Wow do the weekends go fast! On Saturday, AZ and I had a so called date night while Grandma and Grandpa Ramsay watched the girls. They told us we were doing them a favor by letting them watch them! AZ and I attended a viewing of a marriage video presented by his church. It was an awesome video that explained both sexes and why they do what they do! Women are multitaskers and men are single taskers (ha,ha!) On Sunday after church and naps we ventured to the neighbors house for a little fun in the sun! Abby wore her floaties and swam around the pool and Shelby loved just floating in her little floaty. Looking forward to swimming with Abby at the beach in just 3 days!!!

5 months

Well today Shelby is 5 months and I feel like it was just yesterday we got to bring her home. Time really does seem to go fast as you get older. She is still going to work in Plainville with me 4 days a week and goes to Teresa's one day with Abby. She is definitely a momma's girl, which I love! It's ok because Abby is definitely a daddy's girl! She is still working on getting those teeth in. I'm hoping it happens before we leave for Florida, but I have a feeling she will get it when we're gone. We started vegetables tonight at dinner and she LOVED it. Abby wanted a bite too, but didn't like it as much (sweet potatoes)! We spent this evening at the park with Grandma and Grandpa Ramsay while AZ was playing softball. Abby had a great time on the teeter totter with Grandpa and Grandma. Now I think since the girls are in bed, I'm going to hit the sack too!

Rewind to the weekend...

Well on Friday after I got home from work, Abby and I took off to the Hays Aquatic Park for a little one on one time together. She absolutely loves the water. I can't wait to take her back! She wanted to go down the big slides, but I was a little leary...maybe next time when dad can go with us! On Saturday we prepared for Shelby's baptism. It was rainy all day, but Abby and I trekked out to Wal-mart and Dillons to get last minute food items for dinner. After church on Saturday night Shelby was baptised in the Catholic church. It was very special! Father Daryl actually submerses the babies in the baptismal fountain after their garments are removed. Abby tried to get in the "swimming pool" only once! After the baptism, we headed back to our house for some great Stromboli and lots of other food! On Sunday we dedicated Shelby in the Nazarene church. It too was a very special day. When we were standing up at the alter, Abby grabbed Shelby's hand and kissed it. Very sweet! Both of our faiths are important to us and we want the girls growing up knowing both of them! Here are some pics from the baptism:

Special Weekend Ahead

This weekend is going to be a special one! Not only is AZ celebrating his 1st Fathers Day with Shelby and 3rd with Abby, Shelby is going to be baptized in the Catholic church and presented in the Nazarene church this weekend. I tried her baptism gown on (she is wearing Abby's) to make sure it would fit. Abby then of course wanted to wear it too! We are looking forward to a fun, family filled weekend again!

Whoah...I'm really behind!

Ok so I thought I'd be able to keep up with a blog, but I guess I need to work a little harder! We left on Thursday for KC and were able to spend a long weekend with family. We attended Mary's wedding and spent some time with Mac, Caroline, and Nate. We were also able to see Abby and Shelby's birthfamilies for a quick visit. It was a fun filled weekend for sure. Abby and Mac just love seeing each other and Shelby loves to watch them. We stopped off at Legends on our way home so Abby, mommy, and grandma could get their shopping in! Once Abby saw the fountains, she could care less about the shopping. Now we're home and getting ready for our next mini vacation over the 4th of July to Florida!

June...Already???!!!!

Wow, I can't believe it is the middle of June already! We made it through our first garage sale and I must say it was pretty successful. Everything we didn't sell went to the Goodwill or the Mary Elizabeth Home. Now AZ can start on renovating the basement and makeing a playroom for the girls (at least it won't be like my first playroom where we had to wear our coats to play in it...sorry mom, had to bring that one up!) Me and the girls are headed to KC for aunt Mary's wedding this weekend while AZ is headed to Pittsburgh, PA for a wedding. Thank goodness my mom and dad will be traveling to KC too. Don't think I'd do well traveling with both girls by myself. Shelby is rolling over now! I thought she rolled over for the first time tonight, but when I told AZ he said, "I know" like she's been doing it for awhile. He said she rolled over yesterday, but failed to tell me...MEN! Oh well Abby and I were excited for her tonight when we saw her do it. Abby continues to amaze us with her knowledge and language skills. As I headed to work out tonight she said, "I'm so proud of you"! Know if that's not motivation! At dinner tonight she started saying, "Que pasa" (what's happening?) and leche (milk). She brings many smiles to my face!

Here's Abby wearing her phone "like daddy does"!

Smile!

Such a big girl!

Garage Sale

This week we are preparing for our 1st Garage Sale! Fun, fun! We have collected so much stuff over the past 9 years I almost felt like a pack rat when we started going through it all. We are wanting to make a playroom in the basement for the girls and in order to do that we need to get rid of everything in our extra room! Abby has been a big help (not!). She seems to find things that she wants to keep, which reminds me so much of my sister and I when we were younger and mom would have a garage sale! Ready to get this done and be able to start on the playroom!
